Hey guys, I just got a bunch of new followers and I thought thats a sign of it’s due time to update. Right now i’m about to start a new job and haven’t had a lot of time to sit down and sketch so in my down time i’ve tried to somewhat keep up with sewing by making these hair bows. I know everyone and their mother has been making them now but I can’t help it they are adorable! I am going to make a bunch and start selling them on etsy for super cheap. They come with a barrette or just a pin so you can put it where ever you please.
And since I don’t have a whole lot to update you on I thought I would share these photos I took for an award I won at my college. You can go here to my flickr to see the pictures, sketches and the process I went through to create those menswear shirts and other items.
Also be on the look out for a sale I am having in March for my other items in my etsy store!
One of my models in my is currently featured on PlusModel411.com, her name is Andreina (also known as Nina) and she’s one of the most amazing people i’ve worked with, check out her feature here!!!
Also follow Nina on her tumblr
Soo I should probably start updating my site more than just once a month, but my life be super busy y’all, I’m interning at the wardrobe department for a few shows and haven’t been able to produce my own designs as much as I’d like, but here is a photo of a top & skirt I made last month along with my tags I finally got made so now my clothes can be legit, ya heard??
Some mens shirts i’ve been working on recently. I try to stay away from bright colors and prints sometimes but that just ain’t happenin sister.
Here’s another children’s clothing piece I made with one of the girls I babysit. Her name is Mimmy and before I left for New York we made this top together. She picked out all the fabrics, helped make the patterns and even sewed some of it. She’s practically a designer herself and she’s only 7! I told her to smile in this picture but this is what i got and y’all should know it ain’t easy getting a 7 year old to stand still for one photo, so i think i did good.
Hey guysss, I haven’t updated in a while so I wanted to share something I made recently for one of the kids I babysit for. This is Richie and for his 9th birthday I made him a Weezer shirt because they’re his favorite band and unfortunately they don’t make shirts in his size so obviously something had to be done about that. I think a Queen shirt might be next.
Full body shot of Ashley Beebe wearing my costume I made last year. Inspired by the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s album ‘Show Your Bones’.
Here is a photo of the tailored jacket and skirt I made, inspired by Inglorious Basterds, in my junior year at MassArt. The class in which we made this jacket took two whole semesters, soo about 9 months and let’s just say that class broke me down a little, but i got this sweet lil number out of it so I would say it was worth it!
Hey Felicia! It was awesome meeting you and all the other beautious ladies at full figured fashion week. I can’t wait to see the photos, I particularly want to see that lane bryant studded leather jacket again, i want it and i want it now
So tired of ordering business cards and not being satisfied with them so i just decided to make my own out of fabric. Seriously y’all want something cute and awesome just DIY it, and if you don’t know how to make it figure it out, the internet has other sites besides tumblr! use them! sorry for yelling.
I’ll try to update this site with pieces i’ve been making but for now here is the first piece I made my sophomore year. The project was make a garment out of a non-textile, so i choose 3D glasses, over 250 3D glasses to be exact.
I have gotten this question a lot and I have been just answering them personally but i should probably just answer it on here.
I am in the process of pricing my garments, and also in the process of designing more ready to wear pieces that would be less expensive the the party/special occasion pieces that I had in my senior collection.
With that said all the pieces in my collection would be around $200+ since they are all custom garments, handmade from expensive fabrics. I understand that this is not a price that is within everyone’s budget but these dresses are my babies! They took months to make and I think that anyone who has ever made anything finds it hard to part with it no matter what the price.
In the future if anyone does have it in their budget for a custom dress that is fit to their specific measurements I will definitely consider remaking some of my garments. But again this is in the future because I have a pretty hectic work schedule right now and don’t have much time to commit to remaking an entire dress.
I hope this answers your question, and again thank you so much for the interest in my clothes, it is still blowing my mind the amount of reblogs and comments I get on my photos each day!
